Popularly known as HC, it is the smallest known aquarium plant. It adopts to different water hardness but needs sufficient CO2 and light for growth. Takes little time to get established but once established multiple plant layers form, one on top of other.
Aquascaping tip
Due to its very small size, it?s rather difficult to plant the delicate shoots. Use of ?powder? type aquarium soil makes it easy to plant. Mr. Takashi Amano has used this plant in many of his older aquascapes, especially the ones in Iwagumi style.
