Eleocharis parvula only grows to 3-5 cm in height. Divide the plants into small cups and plant them in the area you want covered. This way the plants will have space during initial stages of growth and subsequently grow into a dense, beautiful lawn. This plant needs high light, but it is still a good choice for the foreground of the aquarium, as it is robust, easy to care for and needs to be trimmed only very rarely.
Aquascaping tip
Eleocharis parvula is best used in conjunction with other foreground plants for most natural effect. They are used in nature aquariums around rock bases to give a natural appearance. You can use them with Riccia to ?tie? the Riccia down and to keep them from floating.
